Great River responded with a full crew including Rescue 394, Engine 392 and 398. Exchange Ambulance was on scene with two ambulances.

After clearing the scene, Great River FD continued on to the SCFA for MVA and extrication training.

With the assistance of firefighters on land, Firefighters Gormley and Llobell raced to rescue the “victim” approximately 40 yards out in the marina. While the winner of the race is debatable, the “victim” was ultimately brought to safety quickly by the teamwork of the crew.
