At 7:18 pm on February 18, 2013, your Great River Fire Department was activated for a motor vehicle accident involving two patients on River Road at Leeside Drive. The vehicle was traveling eastbound when the driver reported a loss of steering control. Both occupants self extricated and were transported by Exchange Ambulance. A mechanical failure may be the cause of the loss of steering.
On May 11, 2011 while gearing up for extrication training at the SCFA, Great River FD was activated for a MVA involving two vehicles at the corner of River Road and Woodhollow Road. Great River responded with a full crew including Rescue 394, Engine 392 and 398. Exchange Ambulance was on scene with two ambulances.
After clearing the scene, Great River FD continued on to the SCFA for MVA and extrication training.
